Director's Message

The Public Service Training Institute (PSTI) provides its effective service for the Non Staff Grade Public Officers by organizing and implementing valuable training programmes to promote skills of office activities as well as their  personal development.

The PSTI is conducting various Training Programmes not only in its limited space in Colombo Center, but also, it conducts many training programmes at the District and Divisional level.   It further helps public Organizations to fulfill their training needs either by conducting training programmes in their Institutions or provide capable Resource Persons/Instructors on the requests.

According  to the Government policy on "e.gov.programmes", most of the Public Sector Organizations focused their attention towards “e.gov programmes”.   Therefore, this Institute gets this opportunity to conduct its training programmes very conveniently to the trainees by using "WEBSITE".

Now, the PSTI is in a strong position by providing and sharing information in using its Website and Electronic Mailing System (E-mail) instead of paying much attention  to make awareness of the Public Officers through its training Manual.   Anyone who wishes to know what is PSTI doing, invites to log on to www.psti.gov.lk or inquire by sending e_mail using This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

We, PSTI are happy to say that all the Public Officers are now in a comfortable state to obtain information of the training programmes they need by using website or e-mail address above mentioned.

On  behalf  of  the  PSTI, I  would  express my sincere gratitude to Director, Mr.Wasantha Deshapriya and his staff of the ICTA (Information & Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka), and Chief executive Officer and staff of the “Pooranee”, Web Developers  for assisting us by giving their fullest cooperation in providing IT facilities.

I am pleased to emphasize that the development of the Website would be more productive to the PSTI to lead the public service to a new path by improving the knowledge and skills while uplifting the attitudes for development of this small island according to the objectives of the Institute.
